Many carers see the value of such activities but are unable to win the co-operation of their patients. I spend most days providing arts & crafts projects in care homes and I have looked closely at what steps are necessary to physically engage those who are disabled by alzheimers and dementia and also those who have been adversely affected by a stroke.
